This good sized micro pub used to be a bookies. The room is split into two levels, the bar is on the right hand side as you enter and you then step down into a lounge area with further seating. There is also some bench seating out the back.
Four handpumps on our visit serving two from Firebrick Brewery Blaydon Brick and Pagan Queen, Three Brothers AU and Twice Brewed Gallia. Liked the way the barmaid polished the glasses with a T Towel from the glass washer and checked they were perfectly clean.
We found this to be a friendly and welcoming micro and stayed for quite some time, especially when another beer went on, which was Hexhamshire Brewery Whapweasel.
